in the election spirit...sort of..
i am still gently easing myself back into the real world, post bar, therefore, this election post is still filled with celebrities (because what better way to integrate into the real world than by reading gossip about people who don't actually function in the real world).
first off, for those of you who have not seen mccain's ad with paris hilton and britney spears, please, go ahead and google it. i think even most republicans (other than elizabeth hasselback) shook their heads at the sight of that ad...
but now, paris hilton has struck back. who knew she had it in her? not me. on funnyordie, there is this new ad where paris hilton announces her own presidency and, i am ashamed to say this, actually made me laugh out loud (i'm half blaming this on the bar-induced coma i have been in). however if you get a chance to check it out, actually quasi-amusing. good for her. now that she's dating a madden apparently she thinks she can have an edge. how cute.
and my last pop culture reference to the election...the tyra banks "obama" fashion shoot. for some reason i find this extremely tacky posing as someone's wife. now i realize that it's just an obama look-a-like, but there is just something unsettling and yucky to me about this ad. i get a very angelina jolie/brad pitt "W" photographs feeling with this. or maybe its just super creepy. i don't know.
